Jiří Zemánek defended his thesis and earned his Ph.D. degree!

The day has come at last when Jiří Zemánek defended his doctoral thesis on distributed manipulation in front of international reviewers, local committe and a wide audience and earned his Ph.D. degree. Congratulations!

The two reviewers present at the defense were prof. Ron Pethig (professor emeritus at University of Edinburgh, UK) and prof. Metin Sitti (director of Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Stuttgart, Germany). The third reviewer of the thesis - Dr. Michael Gauthier (Directeur de recherche at FEMTO-ST, Besancon, France) could not participate at the event but did submit his review. All the three reviews were positive.

The other members of the disertation committee were prof. František Štěpánek (University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague), assoc. prof. Daniel Georgiev (University of West Bohemia, Pilsen), prof. Tomáš Polcar (Uni. of Southampton & CTU in Prague) and dr. Kristian Hengster-Movric (Dept. of Control Engineering, FEE CTU in Prague). The chair of the committee was prof. Michael Šebek (head of the Dept. of Control Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU).
